Garden room trends to keep your eyes on in 2023

The decs are down, presents have been put away and the last of the baileys has now been drunk, Christmas now well and truly behind us. Many of us find that a New year brings the perfect opportunity to start thinking ahead and getting started with the big ideas and plans that you have for your home, and in our opinion, there is no better way to cue the January blues with a bit of interior and renovation planning.

We've collated a list of interior trends that are finding their way into our 2023 inspiration feeds so that you can make sure you're kept fully up to date when planning your next property update.

BOHO ESCAPE

Boho has very much made its way back into our interior styles with a vengeance. An aesthetic that never seems to stop evolving, the mixture of textures and colours makes boho a great trend to follow whilst giving you the freedom to put your own stamp on your garden room or orangery. Additions such as rugs and house plants are a great start to “bohoing” up your room. Trinkets from your travels and any antiques you might find stored away in the loft, and you might be able to find some real treasures in charity shops that you can use to create your boho space, or even try your hand at a bit of DIY macrame.

NAMASTAY YOGA SPACE

With calming naturals and peaceful sounds, creating an "at-home" namastay yoga studio has never been more popular. Imagine having a space made just for you to rewind and relax, our garden rooms or orangeries are built bespoke to your needs, so whatever you're dreaming of, we are here to make it work. As mindfulness and meditation becomes increasingly popular, it is likely this trend is here to stay for the foreseeable, so creating your “zen” in your garden room or orangery is a one that you definitely won't regret following.

BRINGING THE OUTSIDE IN

In our opinion, merging the outdoors with the indoors is a trend that will never get old. Especially during the winter months, many of us end up feeling that we spend most of our time cooped up indoors, so making sure you have lots of plants and greenery into your garden room or orangery will not only give the greenfingers something to look after all year round, but it will create a peaceful atmosphere that is guaranteed to put you in the best mood and mindset possible.

GREEN ROOFS

Adding a green roof, or sometimes known as a “living roof”, to your free standing garden room or home office is certainly becoming a popular choice. Not only is it a beautiful and unique feature to add to your garden room, it's the perfect way to transform properties by encouraging biodiversity, helping combat climate change as well as increasing the feeling of wellbeing.

BIG WINDOWS AND NATURAL LIGHTING

As we've mentioned previously, natural lighting has huge benefits to our mental health. The aesthetic of large windows is becoming ever more popular, especially as insulation technology develops. With fully insulated walls and windows, you can be sure that you don't have to compromise on temperature control, keeping your garden buildings cooler inside in summer and warm on winter days. Large windows allow Homeowners to get the look and feel of a luxury and modern home, whilst reaping all the positive benefits of natural light - we're definitely on board with this one.

If you fancy switching things up in 2023, our team is here to work with your ideas, and we'd love to discuss your dreams and help bring them to life.
