EPDM Rubber Roofing Material

What is EPDM Rubber Roofing Material?

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) waterproof rubber roof membrane sheeting is a great way of retrofitting your conservatory into a room that is useful and pleasant all year round.

How does it work?

The Garden Room Designs EPDM solution is designed to replace the existing glass or poly carbonate roof, whilst retaining the original windows, doors, frames and walls. We also install insulation to make the room more user friendly.

What are the main advantages?

  • Provides energy cost savings
  • Easy to install
  • Long term solution, with a life expectancy of 30 plus years, with extremely low maintenance costs
  • Aesthetically pleasing, its black colour doesn't show up dirt and doesn't need as much cleaning as mould and moss are unable to grow on it like traditional polycarbonate conservatory roofs.
  • Reduced rain noise and glare from the sun
  • Works especially well on lean to conservatories with a low pitch
  • Comfortable ambient temperature all year round due to the additional insulation we install

Is it difficult, costly or messy?

No, the existing conservatory windows, doors, frames and walls remain in place, so building disruption and costs are kept to a minimum. Additional roof insulation is also added as well as the external EPDM membrane sheeting.

Will my conservatory be suitable?

Most conservatories are suitable. We’ll happily check yours when we visit. If your conservatory is old, or needs some additional repair work - don’t worry! We can carry out those works as well.

My window frames and doors are broken, can you replace these too?

Yes, as part of the works we can replace your doors or window frames, this is no problem. It gives your conservatory a fresh new look.
